My name is Cheryl Ferreira and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of New Hampshire. I have a bachelor’s degree in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, a Juris Doctor from the Massachusetts School of Law, and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University. I have been a youth minister, a corporate attorney and now a therapist.
My clinical experience began by working with highly traumatized and diverse individuals in correctional facilities, many with addictions and personality disorders. More recently I have been working in the private sector with clients who have anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, loss and other mental health issues.
In my own healing journey and through my studies, I have learned that feeling our feelings, processing and expressing them in healthy ways, is the path to healing and being free from trauma, depression, anxiety and whatever struggles we are having. Good mental health is a journey; and we are all works in progress moving ever closer to feeling safety, hope, and joy. I consider it a privilege and a blessing to be on your journey with you.
